Laino Boin

The continent of Laino Boin is the only continent that have not been exposed to the Jelakhav prior to the Awakening. Though the rogue essence of the Jelakhav would find its way to this region having been carried by the Satelles, this region largely has depended on Zamigdral for growth. During the time of the Horde, Zamigdral had grown weak and could not tend to the garden of Laino Boin. Ukt sowed seeds of corruption into the ground. In pursuit of shelter, Zamigdral was carried to Laino Boin by the elves. To ward off death, they carried Torches of Felinour (Barisstones). As they entered into the forests, they found that corruption had taken root. To purify this, the elves would learn the Words of Calm by seeking Graciure. This would begin the purification of Laino Boin. The elves would bring creatures from Amma-Saeth to fill the woods. These creatures would keep the creatures of death at bay. However, Laino Boin would become a dangerous place for the elves. As Laino Boin was covered in darkness, it was a cold a bitter place. However, Zamigdral would recognize that the life in the dark realm would need help to shelter from Ukt. Zamigdral would purify the Gauan Cataract. This would open the way for her to enter into the Realm of Tranquility which was the Realm of the Night. The elves would work tirelessly to purify Laino Boin, but found that the clutches of corruption were too severe. The elves of Laino Boin would seek out to implore Zakil to loose his grasp of the world. See Awakening.
