Phagash
Phagash is a Gamjuven settlement that was built upon the valley where the last conflict between demons and the Gamjuven people took place. Arguably one of the oldest settlements in the country that would be called Gamjuit, the people that settled in the valley collected the bodies of the dead while the rest of the people moved on. Tearing through the emberous and corrupted flesh, the people of Phagash were believed to have removed the curse of the world. As the people carved stone from the rock, the bones of the fallen would be incorporated into the structures. There are some that still regard these bones as wards, keeping evil spirits from returning. The people of Phagash worship Stone, a man carrying a large boulder. A statue of Stone stands in the center of the town. The statue is surrounded by tiles fashioned from ground bones. It represents the victory over the demons and the use of stones as weapons.
Demographics
The people of Phagash are predominantly those of the Children of Tala from the first generations. There is a strong sense of identity of the people who still reside here, believing their strength comes from the rocks of the valley. Few people settle in the valley, the people largely being composed on the original inhabitants. As Phagash does not lie on a main trade way, it is a small, reclusive settlement.
Government
Phagash falls under the kingdom of Gamjuit. However, Gamjuit struggles to bring Phagash in line with its laws and customs. As such, Gamjuit allows Phagash to be self-governed. Even among Gamjuven standards, the people of Phagash seem to be a barbaric people.
Within Phagash, the people are governed by a chieftain. The chieftain is the oldest of the village whose primary responsibility is to record the stories of the ancient days and deliver those to their heirs. Disputes are rare within Phagash as a overwhelmingly strong sense of duty prevails. Some like Phagash to ants or bugs that, "Act as one mind, speak with one word, and have no personality." Within Phagash, there are no lawyers or courts. Only Stone.
Infrastructure
As might be consistent with tribal cultures, the homes in Phagash remain largely constructed of piled stones. The homes are carved into the sides of the mountains with the faces made of layered rocks. This provides shelter from the blistering days. Notably, parts of these homes are built using bones found at the bottom of the valley. It is said that when one of the Phagash tribe need to build a home, they must venture to the base of the valley and bring with them the bones of a fiend. Few know if the bones are actually the bones of a fiends, though many suggest that it could be true considering the accounts that have been made.
