Reaching Mountains
"Mountains are unmovable, or movable, I haven't quite decided."
Mountains are often the object that is the last to be seen when looking into the distance. They are tall monuments to something and I don't know what. I've climbed many mountains, though I haven't found anything significant apart from large predatory birds, their nests, and my clumsiness. There are a variety of rocks, crevices, ores, and other things that seem to abound from place to place. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places. But I haven't even quite decided what I'm looking for. Concerning the elements, the rocks seem to react in varying degrees, but I don't have the appetite to describe them all. I've collected some nice looking gemstones and filled my pockets. They seem rather large and reactive. One of the peculiar things that I've been able to find is that the mountains appear to have a greater degree of change at the tops than at the bottom. When I stand atop the mountains, I can see that there is snow, but also ice. There are plants that grow wildly and even places that spark and fire. It is very peculiar. I've noted that, on occasion, there are nice geometric lattices that I found under the ice. It's as though the rock has pushed out everything and made itself into what it wants to be. I've taken some of that, too.
Be what you will, you're mine now."
