Priesthood
Priests, or temple keepers, are mortals who give their life to the gods in exchange of divine and legal privileges.
For example they can buy and sell whatever they want, even forbidden goods. Furthermore priests may have as many wives as they wish.
They have the "right of manly possession" which makes their harem and their children their own property.
Because it is not an hereditary position, the sons are often sent to the army to become independent or, in worse cases, sold into slavery. The daughters, instead, are either married to other priests or sold to brothels as prostitutes, to the point where "Temple Daughter" became a synonym of whore. In Perdica, under king Sermides, most of these rights have been abolished.
