Teset is a central trading hub along the Hunttonas River, and is largely owned by the Ghoatan family, the most powerful of the Mobek merchant families. When the Hunter's Guild spread West from Pretalem, the merchant families began hiring the trained hunters to deal with the monstrous threats of the plains, rather than trying to maintain their tenuous agreements with the various nomadic tribes who had previously hunted and slayed the creatures.
