"Crime doesn't pay"
--Some shmuck who got caught
Whether it's a sophisticated prank, an opportunity to exceed your allowance, a desperate ploy for forbidden magic, or a daring heist on a teacher's office or vault of arcane lore,
Ioth Academy is no stranger to illicit activity. "Crime" is defined in this case as stealing--if you have a different surreptitious career in mind, let the gamemaster know and we'll figure something out.

Minor Misdemeanors
Snooping around for a loose purse or idle object only takes 1 point of time. It's a non-premeditated crime of opportunity.
There are three phases to a quick crime. In each phase, pick one of the two listed skills and make a check against DC 15 (the passive perception of a Warden/The average difficulty of a nonmagical lock)

If you fail the first check (The Scope), you may choose to continue, but you make the next check with disadvantage.
If you fail the second check (The Approach), you've been noticed. You can bail, or make the next check with disadvantage.
If you fail the third check (The Lift), you didn't obtain your prize. If you also failed The Approach, you've been caught. If you're caught, you MUST spend 5 points of time on Detention before you're allowed to participate in any Extracurriculars or Jobs. If you don't take at least 1 point of detention/day, you accrue another point of Detention.
The Rewards
Success on quick crimes yields moderate results.
