Jasten of Harleigh

Jasten of Harleigh is probably the richest person in Salines - certainly most people think that he is.  Originally from Harleigh, he ran away to sea as a young man, and became a highly successful ship's captain, trading across the Azure Sea.  He is now largely retired from the sea, but still owns three ships, which trade on his behalf, although actually based out of Merton, they often call in at Salines as well to pick up or drop off cargo.  The jealous whisper that he was a pirate in his youth, and that his first ship was bought with plundered gold, and that his ships still smuggle to this day.  Those that repeat such slander too often or too loud have a tendency to slip off the end of the wharf when they have had too much to drink.
