The peace and security of the Tanatran cities is the responsibility of the Pewa, an elite gnomish force made up of specially trained fighters and assassins who (when not invisible) dress head to toe in matte black armor. They are experts at guerrilla tactics and remaining undetected (and often invisible) no matter the circumstances. Often powerful warrior-mages, the Pewa have successfully led the defense of Tanatra for tens of thousands of years. They are rarely found outside Tanatran territory unless on a mission of some kind.
