Adal

Known as the "Lady of the Poor," "She of Just Blades," and "the Just Executioner," Adal is worshiped by the poor and downtrodden, and those who oppose the unjust tyrants of the world. She is one of the most brutal and ruthless of the Order Gods, for her tenet has no room for forgiveness or redemption in the living world: she demands that all tyrants die at the hands of her followers, and that their souls be sent directly to her for judgement.

Holy Books & Codes

Adal was, once upon a time, the most active of the Gods in the Material Plane. Before the Gates between planes were closed permanently, she frequently reached through and spoke directly to her followers. Due to this, there are a great many books and codes written in her honor, almost all of which say the same thing.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The symbol of Adal varies. The most recognizable is that of a black hand, upraised and bound in red ribbon, but many followers believe she disapproves of this symbol due to how expensive it is to recreate. Many believe her preferred symbol is a stylistic eye, with a black outline and an empty red circle within.

Tenets of Faith

Followers of Adal believe in bringing justice to those who abuse their power. Any tyrant, no matter how "small-fry" should submit to Adal's justice for the good of those beneath them. Adal's justice has only one end: death by beheading. From every person killed in her name, she demands a token or trophy, which are to be submitted to her so that she may judge the tyrants.   Adal understands that not everyone has the stomach or the means to behead every tyrant they meet. For those unable, they must destabilize tyrants whenever they are able, and must bring them to her attention that she may send a more equipped champion to do her ultimate will.

Holidays

The last day of the year is a day of reflection for followers of Adal, who must look back on the year and tally how many times they have enacted her will. For those who perform her will to its letter, this is the time to burn the trophies from those you kill in a ritualistic offering. It is believed that the souls of those you kill in Adal's name are kept in limbo until this time, and when they are offered up to her, she judges them and decides their fate based on their crimes.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Adal, as a God of Order, believes that the world has a certain way it should function. In her vision, all are equal and those in power are kept in check by her will, enacted by her followers. There are thresholds to how much material or social power a person can gain in Adal's ideal world, and anyone who exceeds those thresholds should be cut down without mercy.
