Galliess Siannodel (a.k.a. Gale)

*Galliess' backstory is divided into two sections: pre-amnesia and post-amnesia. You can read only the post-amnesia or both the pre and post-amnesia.*
(Pre-Amnesia) Galliess was born in the Feywild but at a very young age he left with his parents to start a new village in the Material Plane on Toril. With a few other Eldarins, they build a village next to a mountain range that prospers for many years. As the son of the village leader, Galliess was trained to be a wise leader himself. A few years after they had settled, Galliess and a few other Eldarins were on a trip to trade with other people of the forest when he and his party were ambushed by a unknown group . While they managed to wound some of the group, they all vanished, killing everyone except Galliess though he was greatly injured. He managed to make his way back to his village but found it in ruins, littered with the dead. He found the bodies of his sister and father next to his dying mother. His mother managed to tell him that an unknown group attacked them, killing half and taking the rest as prisoners, including his brother. Before she died, she managed to give him a slip of paper with two unknown names on it. After giving a proper burial to his mother, father and sister, he began looking for clues to who might have killed everyone. Finding none, he went to the capitol city to search for answers. This is where he became a wizard, growing in knowledge and power, studying under "Arynth the Wise", it was he who taught Galliess most of everything he knows when it comes to magic. He traveled around the city and many neighboring ones, trying to find as much information as possible to who could have killed his family as well as who the two names are. This is where he befriends Magnius Hemsday, a fighter turned wizard. It was Magnius who gave Gallies the inpsiration to not only learn magic, but swords as well, and it was Magnius who taught Galliess everything he knows when it comes to melee fighting. After years traveling with Magnius and gaining information, Galliess finally learned something that he thought was the key to finding out the truth. In a rush, he sent brief messages to Arynth and Magnius (whom he had recently parted with) telling them vaguely what was going on and the information he had uncovered. Then he set off back to his ruined village. Upon arriving there, he found out nothing had changed about it, only gotten older. Using his newfound knowledge and magic, he uncovered a hidden cave tunnel leading downwards. He carefully went down the tunnel, getting deeper and deeper into the earth until he heard a loud sound, felt a sharp pain on the back of his head, and everything went dark.
(Post-Amnesia) Gallies woke up in a dark cell, no idea where he was or who he was with only short and confusing memories: a dead sister, a burned village, a tower full of books, an old man, and a longing to return to the Feywild. He knew vaguely who he was: his name, place of origin, some of his magic the he learned, small memories of his family and brief confusing memories of some city. After a while he finally learned that he was in some brutal prison. There he befriended Rilian Ackleflower, a young halfling, and Walgin terrarock, a deep gnome. Both of whom had no idea what was going on either, just that they were kidnapped and imprisoned. In the prison Galliess and the other prisoners were forced to make weapons, armor and strange pieces to some unknown device. In the prison, there was no sunlight, the only light sources were the torches and lave surrounding the prison. The prison was bleak and cruel, ruled by a being only known as "The Warden". After years of planning an escape, Galliess, Rilian and Walgin started the first phase. Using the tools they found and made, they were able to make it most of the way, until they accidently set off the alarm, causing a total lockdown and prison riot. Galliess and Rilian were able to esacape, supposedly killing "The Warden". Sadly, Walgin lost her live trying to escape with them. After escaping the prison, Galliess and Rillian discovered they were in the underdark. Barely surviving they managed to make their way to the surface. There, they parted ways saying that they would meet each other at some designated time at a designated place. He decided that he should head to the one place where he might find clues to who he is, the capitol. Along the way, he met a tiefling ranger, Zhalwick Deeprock who's village was destroyed, half killed and the other half taken for slaves. After spending some time with him, he continued to the capitol. On his way to there, he is saved by Branrim Goldeneyes whom he decided to follow to repay his debt. They end up meeting up with other adventurers as well.
Galliess hopes to find out his past and if he ever manages to regain his memories, to get revenge on those that killed his village. find the other half of them, and with them, to return to his true home, the Feywild.

Friends and Family: Family- father, mother and sister were all killed while his brother was taken prisoner-alive or dead? Village-half were killed, the rest were taken prisoner to an unknown location-alive and dead? Arynth the Wise-his mentor and friend whom he spent many years learning from to become a wizard-alive Magnius Hemsday-a ranger turned fighter and Galliess' friend. Magnius taught Galliess how to fight with swords and other weapons-alive Rilian Ackleflower-a halfing who was also imprisoned and managed to escape with Galliess. They planned on meeting up soon at a designated place-alive Walginia Terrarock-a deep gnome who was also imprisoned, planned the escape along with Rillian and Galliess but ended up dying in the attempt-dead Zhalwick Deeprock-a tiefling ranger who was aparently raised by deep gnomes. Galliess met Zhalwick on his route to the capitol. Zhalwick hopes to find those that killed half of his village and took the other half prisoner, which strangly resonates with Galliess-alive
Enemies: The Thanos Clan-the group that killed half of his village and took the rest captive, potentially the same guys that ambushed Galliess on his trip. Currently Galliess does not remember them. The Warden and the Prison-The Warden is the head of the prison, Galliess, Rillain and Walginia faced him off, supposedly killing him but at the cost of Walginia's life-dead? The Giants-a group of giants that Galliess encounters, they end up fighting him and he is only saved by Branrim, whom kills a few but the others manage to escape, including the leader-dead and alive
