Coffee, Oranges, and Moral Dilemmas

General Summary

The party is invited to the castle of Hemstetten to meet with the infamous leader of the Nightbrand Legion: Killian. He has an offer for them – and their decision to take it or not could have an influence on the fate of the whole town.     Intimidation Tactics   The group is led out of the guestroom of the “The Whip!” by mercenaries of the Nightbrand Legion. The atmosphere is tense and awkward, as the mercenaries aren’t exactly here for nice conversation. The party members quietly discuss amongst each other what to do should the encounter with Killian go not so peacefully. Junius at this point has counted almost a hundred mercenaries in the town, so it seems like fighting their way out if things go wrong is not an option. While some of the members of the group are worried, others are convinced that the situation might not be as grim as it looks – after all they didn’t commit any crimes or caused trouble, only got some attention maybe during their chase of the thieving girl Misa. According to the citizens of Hemstetten no traveller coming here has ever been harmed by the Nightbrand Legion and they treat the civilians fairly.   After a long and tense walk through the town, following the main road to the end of the cauldron-like valley, the castle appears in front of them. It is a distinctly Tevinter-style building, very old with weathered, greyish yellow stonewalls, built directly against the surrounding mountains. Above the entrance gate to the castle’s courtyard, which can be reached via a small drawbridge, the group discovers a rotten, bloated corpse hanging from the wall. It’s almost impossible to tell who the poor soul used to be due to the advanced state of decay, but going by the once fine clothes with gold-trimmings the body is wearing the party assumes that this must be former Proconsul Servis. The rumours they had heard about his death weren’t an exaggeration.   They enter the courtyard, which is surrounded by high walls and guarded by three watchtowers. It is swarming with mercenaries. They are training together and with dummies strung to wooden poles – and Junius, to his shock, notices that some of the dummies look a little too real to be straw-puppets. It seems like the mercenaries bound the corpses of the castle’s former guards to the poles for fighting practice against armoured foes. Auron is sticking close to Maxfield as the group is told to cross the courtyard and enter the castle through its main gate.     A Charismatic Leader   They step into a modest, barely lit throne room. Benches and tables stand on either side where mercenaries and civilian servants are sitting together, eating, working, or enjoying some spare time games. They all turn their heads and curiously look at the new arrivals as they walk between the tables towards a pedestal on the opposite end of the room. A large chair with purple pillows stands on said pedestal, flanked by two grim-looking mercenaries, and the group is certain that the man seated on this throne is Killian.   It’s hard to tell his age or whether he is of Tevinter or Ander origin, yet he is not quite as impressive as his reputation would have suggested. He watches the group closely with narrow dark eyes, his intense stare making them all feel uncomfortable. His black hair is unkempt and looks kind of dusty, his skin tan and weathered from years of exposure to sun and wind. Long thin limbs and fingers give him an almost spider-like appearance, and Auron quietly whispers to Max that something about this man is seriously off, that he has a strong magical aura about him.   Despite the menacing atmosphere and his intense stare Killian’s body language is relaxed and non-threatening though. He seems to be prepared to fight should things go wrong, and Harold notices a weapon leaning against his throne, a morning-star or mace potentially; but for starters Killian simply introduces himself and wants to know what business led them into his town.   Harold steps up and introduces himself and the others as travellers who just came here to take a break after a long journey and to stock up their supplies. He compliments the town’s and mercenaries’ hospitality as well. The others chime in, with exception from Claudia who is not impressed by Killian’s intimidation tactics.   Killian admits that the group is not quite what he expected, but he expresses that he’s pleased with them speaking so highly of this little town. He repeats several times that he wants Hemstetten and its civilians to be save – and for that purpose he then requests of the party to remove their weapons. Maxfield now has his full attention and, Max being aware that even as a group they are outnumbered, he removes the throwing axe he had been smuggling around his pants until this point and hands it over to Killian’s men. Harold and Mira manage to put on a brave face and it seems like Killian only knew of Maxfield’s hidden weapon, not of theirs.   Once this is settled Killian continues questioning the group and wants to know if they work for the Magister of Vol Dorma or her men outside the gate of Hemstetten. The party admits that Captain Evander had asked for their help in figuring out what was going on in the town and to Killian this doesn’t seem to come as much of a surprise. His men had seen them talking to each other, and he remarks that they aren’t the first group of travellers that had been asked to complete a comparable task for Evander.   Killian then makes an offer to the group: for a small task he would be willing to pay them easily four or five times the amount of what Evander had promised. All they need to do is to remain silent and just walk straight past and ignore Evander and his men once they are leaving Hemstetten again.   The party quickly discusses their options amongst each other, as they fear that “no” is not an answer Killian would be willing to take regarding this matter. Killian explains again that all he cares for is to keep the town safe. If the soldiers outside get any information on the Nightbrand Legion’s numbers or defences the Magister won’t have a choice but to call reinforcements in shape of the Imperial Forces to take the town back. Killian is aware that he is a criminal and did horrible things, the Magister can only try and remove him by force from this throne. But the ensuing fight would probably completely destroy the town, worse than any darkspawn attack ever could – not to mention the civilian casualties.   The group wants to know what his plans for the future of Hemstetten are, because it seems not possible for it to withstand this Blight very long anymore. Killian says that he’s aware that the darkspawn is a threat, but he has plans to further strengthen Hemstetten’s defences and claims that already at this point he has more men under his command than the Proconsul ever did.   At this point Claudia interrupts him and wants to know if he is working for someone, or what he gains from having this town under his command. Killian responds that he is still open to doing mercenary work for others as usual, if they can pay his price but his plans for Hemstetten are his alone. None of what he’s been doing in the past weeks he did in the name of a contractor, he did it on his own initiative. He wants this town to become a safe haven for those who need it, completely independent of the controlling Tevinter Imperium. When asked about what he thinks about the priesthood and religion he says that the high priests are members of the Magisterium and not better than any Proconsul or other mundane ruler – they make the laws and exploit the weak. Religion, in the end, is only a tool to control the masses in Killian’s eyes. Both Harold and Claudia have to agree that he is making compelling arguments, no matter how uncomfortable they might be.   He brings the topic back to his original request: helping him keep the numbers of the mercenaries in the town and any other information a secret from Captain Evander outside. He would offer one gold-piece to each of them for their silence. Again Claudia interrupts for a moment and says that she’d actually be more interested in information than money. Jeska is getting visibly nervous at this point, because she’s scared Claudia might overstrain the mercenary leader’s patience with them.   Killian says that he’s not someone who deals with information usually, but he might know someone who does – someone people like them, who seem to tend to stick their nose in other people’s business, could be interested in. He gives the group some instructions on how to find this information dealer: on Vol Dorma’s lower market they are to look for the symbol of a hand and a coin. When someone approaches them to ask a question after sunset, they need to answer with the word “opportunities” and say that Killian sent them.   Harold tests his luck a little more and says that Killian said he could easily pay four or five times the price Evander had promised, which would be more than one gold, and Killian agrees to the suggestion of two gold instead. A civilian servant is sent to fetch the money from the treasury and the party is paid. Maxfield in the meantime is promised that he can pick his axe up at the entrance gate of the town when they leave Hemstetten – but until then they are free to stay and enjoy the town’s hospitality a bit longer.   Junius asks what they should do if captain Evander threatens or presses them to give him information, to which Killian suggest that he wouldn’t mind if the party killed him. He ordered his men not to engage with the soldiers because a fight with them could lead to civilian casualties in the town, but Evander’s presence is a nuisance to him and he wouldn’t mind to have him out of the way. Before the group is then escorted out of the castle, Auron finally asks Killian a question he had intended to ask for quite a while: “Do you have coffee?”   Killian is visibly confused and tells him that he just received enough money to buy the entire general store’s stock of coffee if he wanted to. Harold suggests that this might be a good next stop on their trip, and despite a comparatively good outcome of the meeting with the feared mercenary leader the group leaves the castle with a feeling of doom; as if they were constantly being watched now, even more so than before.     Finally Coffee!!   The group heads back to the market place and looks around for a general goods store – and an establishment with the name “The Well-Equipped Adventurer” catches their attention. They are greeted by Wilfred, the elderly shop-owner with cheerful attitude who is ready to help them with whatever they need. Harold takes Auron up to the counter and finally, after a long search, Auron purchases a pound of coffee. With big eyes he takes the bag of roasted coffee beans and just walks off at first, but returning quickly to hug his companions in delight that this search has finally come to an end. He also remembers that he wanted to ask if the store sold earmuffs, but Wilfred has to disappoint him. He could commission some from a local tailor, but it would take a few days and by then the group will have long left.   Harold then proceeds to buy some rum for himself and also a pound of locally grown tea for Junius, who greatly approves of this friendly gesture. Junius in return requests to purchase a medical kit while the rest of the group has a look around in the store. Once everyone is ready, the party thinks that now might be the chance to return to the Steaming Cauldron and talk to the distressed tavern owner Elma, who had asked them to return later.     Behind closed cellar doors   Elma is encountered sweeping the floor in the now significantly emptier guest room of the Steaming Cauldron. She is startled when she notices the party entering, because she is scared of the upcoming conversation. When Harold approaches her asking if she could prepare them some coffee and tea she is just confused, but soon understands that the party implies to go to the kitchen together, out of earshot and sight of potentially dangerous guests. Elma leads them into the kitchen and sends her cook to take care of the guests, who is just as confused and a little disgruntled about the intruders in the kitchen.   When everyone has something to drink, coffee and tea (or tea with rum in Harold’s case), the group asks Elma if she happens to know someone who would like to leave the town – they remember her getting nervous at the mentioning of the priests who allegedly died in the temple fire, so maybe they are still alive and hiding somewhere. Elma is reluctant about answering any more questions until the party explains that they come in the name of the Desert Crows, and she knows this name well. She then says that it would be easier to just show the party her most well-kept secret and leads them to a trapdoor in one of the corners of the kitchen. The hatch leads down into a simple yet very, very well-stocked earth cellar beneath the inn. The air is cold and moist, and there is not much light available. The ceiling is very low as well and Max can definitely not stand up straight. Elma leads the group through a small labyrinth of shelves and large barrels to the furthest corner of the cellar. Before the group can even see they hear Elma speaking to someone apparently hiding there, reassuring them that she is here with friends who want to help.   The group catches up with Elma and then sees two young men cowering in this corner of the cellar, visibly scared and shaken. One of them, who is a little taller than the other, has dark skin, darkbrown eyes and black, tightly curled hair kept neatly short. The other is paler, with brown hair and eyes. Both are in their mid to late twenties, skinny, and dressed in similar black robes that appear as if they were burned and singed here and there. These are the two priests of the temple of Hemstetten.     Escape Plans   After some reluctance and explanation that the group has come to get them out of the town safely, if they’re interested, the men introduce themselves as Verian and Amelius. The party questions them about the fire at the temple, because what they had learned so far were mostly rumours and hearsay. They want to know if they had done anything to anger the mercenaries and how the fire even started. Verian explains that until now they aren’t certain why the temple was burned, as they had done nothing to provoke the mercenaries in his eyes. During the Nightbrand Legion’s first attack and conquering of the town they had opened the temple to anyone who needed to quickly get away from the streets to escape the fighting. Once things had calmed down again and Killian had seized control, they had planned to prepare a little mass for the citizens. The last months had been difficult and many people are in a crisis of faith, so they wanted to gather as many people as possible to provide some hope and guidance. During the preparations for the mass Amelius had noticed that the door of the temple had been barricaded from the outside, and only moments later the fire started. They don’t know who did it or how they did it, but the flames spread quickly and they saw their only chance of survival in hiding in the basement. Amelius was almost crushed to death by falling rubble when the building collapsed above their heads. In the safety of the night, after the fire had finally settled, they managed to flee and Elma kept them hidden in her basement since then.   The group is eager to help them escape the town – yet this might pose to be a problem. The priests were well-liked in large parts of the community, and while not all of the mercenaries might recognize them, there was still a risk attached to getting them through the front gate without raising suspicion. A few plans are discussed, but soon it becomes clear that there’s only two exits out of the town: the front gate or a climb over the surrounding mountain walls. When the idea of dressing the priests up as wenches and telling the mercenaries at the gate that they wanted to take the girls out “partying and showing them the world” an idea is born. Amelius agrees that a good disguise could work in the dark of night and he would prefer that over climbing the mountainside.   The party realizes that they could also claim that the two priests are relatives – the celebrations of the First Day festival are close, and it is tradition to visit family members in remote locations during this time, so it could be a good excuse if the mercenaries at the gate started to ask questions. So Amelius becomes Amelia, Junius’ new-found sister that he’s going to take to Vol Dorma to visit relatives, and Verian becomes Secunda, Maxfield’s fiancé that he takes with him to get married. Verian is a bit more reluctant and doubtful about this plan, but both him and Amelius eventually agree. Elma offers to get the men two of her old dresses that she’d be happy to part with for this purpose while the party once more goes back to the general store in search for make-up and wigs. They find neither, but they decide to buy two silken shawls that would not only help with covering the priests’ non-existent long hair but also their faces. Then they also buy four oranges, to complete the illusion of being in the company of two beautiful women with compelling arguments.   They furthermore decide that it might be a good idea to have something with them to bribe the mercenaries, in case things go wrong – and so once more the group heads to the “The Whip!” to buy more of the eccentric pub’s signature drink, in the hopes that it could knock the mercenaries out. When they enter the pub both Frederick and Roderick are behind the long bar counter, arguing over some notes in front of them. When they see that they have guests they stop the bickering and gladly sell them three more portions of “The Whip” to take with them on their journey.   Back in the cellar the priests are dressed up before they say their final goodbyes to Elma. Upon being asked why she’s helping them Elma explains that she never had children of her own, and Verian and Amelius come from difficult familiar backgrounds. They are kind-hearted and always treated the community well, to Elma they are a bit like the sons she never had, and she wants them to be safe. The group offers her to leave with them as well, but she says she will be fine and is happy knowing that the two young men are out of harm’s way until Killian has been dealt with.   Then, after the sun has already set, the group and the priests finally leave the inn and head towards the town’s gate. It is guarded by different mercenaries than in the morning when they arrived. After confirming their identities via a list everyone gets back the weapons that were simply stored in a big pile next to the gate. When they are questioned about their two new companions Maxfield puts up quite a show about his beautiful “fiancé”, kissing Verian’s hand and making him blush. The mercenaries seem so convinced that no foul play is involved in the travellers taking these two townspeople with them, as the whole group gives off the impression of being slightly intoxicated. They don’t even notice that Maxfield’s future bride lose one of her breasts suddenly as he kisses her hand. Only when the group walks away they hear one of the mercenaries ask “where did that orange come from?” and ever so slightly speed up their pace to leave the town behind.     To tell or not to tell, that is the question   As they walk down the main road leading away from Hemstetten, the camp of Magister Vortas’ private army is already in sight – and they can spot Captain Evander promptly stepping out of his tent, ready to hear their report on what is going on in Hemstetten.   Knowing that they are watched by the mercenaries at the gate the group has already decided beforehand to not talk to Evander, as agreed upon with Killian. They are quite scared of the Nightbrand Legion coming after them for betraying their leader. They have the idea of secretly signifying to Evander to head to the camp of the Desert Crows, to make it seem like he is pestering them instead of them telling him anything. So as they approach his camp Junius yells “NOPE, DON’T TALK TO US, I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY TO YOU! IF YOU GOT A PROBLEM YOU CAN TAKE IT UP WITH VALENTIN!” – all while winking aggressively to signify that they can’t talk openly with the mercenaries breathing down their necks. Evander sighs and lets them pass without asking any questions.   The group continues on and back to the camp of the Desert Crows to now report back to Valentin that they found at least two people willing to leave who can pay the trip to Vol Dorma. Valentin in return pays the group for their help and seems pleased – at least until they decide to inform him of everything else that went down in the town and asking him to speak to Evander on their behalf. Valentin isn’t impressed at all that they struck a bargain with Killian, the man he had warned them about and who had so severely damaged the Desert Crows’ reputation and business in the past. Additionally he and Evander don’t have very high opinions of each other, so this whole situation is an issue they will have to deal with on their own. The group expresses their worries that Killian could be in fact a demon that could come after them if Valentin doesn’t help – his unnerving aura and body language seemed to suggest that something was off about him. Valentin waves this off, calling Killian an ugly bastard, but he is convinced that he’s a man that bleeds and can die like any other. Valentin confirms that he is a powerful mage of sorts though, which would explain the weirdness about his aura and the discomfort they felt in the castle.   Now the party has to decide what to do. Killian and Evander are currently stuck in a situation waiting for the other side to make a move. Killian already said he won’t attack the soldiers to keep control over the town, so Evander’s choices could determine the fate of Hemstetten and everyone currently in it.   From the mercenaries at the gate the group has learned that Killian found out that Proconsul Servis embezzled tons of taxes that he and his men found in the treasury of the castle. He wasn’t well-liked with a lot of the citizens.   If they tell Evander what they know about the mercenaries in the town, the military will be called for help and things will get potentially messy. Not few of the citizens have meanwhile joined the mercenaries and prefer their presence over Servis and his men, so the military might decide that it’s best to wipe the town out entirely before it turns into a criminal stronghold.   Also, if they told Eveander what they knew they would break the deal with Killian, and as they all learned, he is not someone to mess with. Talking could mean that he will come after them and kill them. Evander is an experienced soldier and would have the opportunity to run or otherwise get the information he needs to make a decision, he isn’t fully reliant on their help alone.   On the other hand there’s no way Evander and his men can take it up with the Nightbrand Legion on their own. And… something seems off about Killian. Someone stringing up the corpses of his enemies to walls and posts to use them as sparring dummies, someone who attempts to burn priests alive in their temple because he is not a fan of religion, someone with his general reputation and past can’t be the benevolent saviour of a town that he claims to be.   The time to further discuss their options is cut short when Evander arrives on horse and accompanied by two of his men. He asks to speak to the group as they discuss if they could maybe only give vague information, not tell him everything. Junius suggests that if they want to betray someone here they should go all in either way – he thinks it might be best to tell Evander nothing.   The group comes to this agreement as well, but Evander immediately starts to ask questions and all plans are thrown overboard within seconds. Evander says that he wasn’t too surprised actually about them not wanting to talk to him once they left the town. Apparently Killian had made similar offers to other travellers before, some agreeing to his conditions completely, some saying no and reporting back, and others taking money from Killian but still trying to give Evander some information at least, unafraid of what Killian might or might not do if he ever found out.   The group urges Evander to not engage with the mercenaries and to not get the military involved – even if only for the civilian’s sake. They urge him to tell the Magister about Servis’ wrongdoings and even suggest to just leave the town in Killian’s hands, because the citizens don’t seem to mind the Nightbrand Legion’s presence. Evander says that he is very concerned about the civilians and wouldn’t want them to suffer. He seems surprised to hear about Servis embezzling tax-money and wishes he had proof, although he thinks Magister Vortas wouldn’t like the idea of having Killian in Hemstetten. The town is an important asset to Vol Dorma, and Killian doesn’t want to deal with the Imperium. And after all, he is a murderer and criminal, for moral reasons alone he needs to be taken care of and removed from Hemstetten. Potentially to be replaced by yet another corrupt politician, as even Evander agrees to (although asking the party not to let the Magister know that he spoke so distrustful of her choice of representatives), but he’s certain that Magister Vortas wants Killian to be dealth with. The group urges him to retreat and just leave Killian be altogether, but Evander says that that’s not an option anymore. Magister Vortas is notified, now he has to wait for her orders on what to do next and can maybe convince her to either call the military or leave matters in the hands of her private army alone. Unless the mercenaries strike first he has to stay at least to make sure travellers are warned.   In the end he thanks the group for their help and gives them some coin for the information they offered – the fact that the temple was burned down for example was worrying news to him. He then leaves again and the group is worried that they just signed his – or their own – death warrant.     The Night of a Long Day   Before settling down for the night they spend some more time around the camp. They notice that the two priests seem to still follow their calling even outside the temple, and once the word spread around the camp that they were here they gladly offered some advice and guidance, particularly to those who lost loved ones in the recent darkspawn attack. Witnessing this, Mira asks Jeska what she believes in as a dwarf, and Jeska tells the group about the Stone, and how to the dwarves the Stone is not worshipped as a god, but rather venerated. She is a living entity with a will, providing for, surrounding, and guiding the dwarves.   In a quiet moment Junius approaches Auron to further ask him about what he felt when they met Killian, and Auron tries to describe the strong magical aura that surrounded Killian. It hadn’t been as apparent to Junius and he says that it made him feel kind of useless in the situation. Auron immediately hugs him and says that he’s not useless at all. He says: “You’re very nice!”   Sniffling a little, Junius reciprocates the hug as he hears these words.   Hoping that the Nightbrand Legion won’t attack the camp at night, the group decides to down the “the Whip” drinks they had brought along to bribe the mercenaries at the gate. Since they didn’t need them they first considered giving them to their leaders Valentin, Konstantin, and Teresa – considering the potential effects of the brew they decided against it though. They didn’t want to knock out the people supposed to get them out of this desert. This time Maxfield enjoys a full drink instead of just having the rest of someone else’s, and while it is strong he comes to find it quite enjoyable, feels almost rejuvenated. Harold now also takes the opportunity, downing his drink, and withstands its negative effects as well. It’s not comparable to anyone else he’s had before, but also he is left with a good, warm feeling spreading through his limbs. The last one to drink is Mira, convinced that it shouldn’t pose a problem – she had already had a drink like this earlier and was fine. It seems like two drinks within a day are too much for her though – she is knocked out isntantly, falling backwards from the bench she was sitting on, her mouth burning as if it was on fire. Max decides that this might be a good time to let the evening end, picks up his lover from the ground, and carries her to their tent.   As everyone gets up from their seats in to find their tents, they notice the two priests sitting side by side at one of the other campfires, Amelius’ head resting on Verian’s shoulder. Both seem content and relieved to leave Hemstetten behind.   Harold decides to pay Vania’s family another short visit, taking a detour on the way to his tent. Her children are sleeping already, while Vania and Hulda have a quiet conversation. Hulda is knitting something at the same time, and after a few exchanged words they wish each other a good night.   Finally everyone returns to their tents to lie down for a restful – or potentially restless – night of sleep after an eventful day. The last stretch of the journey to Vol Dorma will begin early on the next morning.

Notes

In-Game Date: 24th of Cassus; afternoon – night   Highlights:
  • When being walked to the castle: “Maybe we’re about to have a candlelight dinner with Killian!”
  • After realizing that the training dummies in the courtyard are corpses, Auron sticks closely to Max who puts his arm around him tightly: “I think my armpit smells better than the corpses!”
  • Harold when seeing Killian: “I’m rolling Perception to see if he’s sexy!” – he determines that Valentin is sexier than Killian
  • Mira to Killian: “Your town smells a bit weird." - Harold: "But we smelled weird when we came here, too, so we're not in the position to judge.”
  • The party discusses options to provide Evander with information without “speaking” to him – because Killian only told them to not talk to him after all; some options discussed include to dance the message they have for him
  • Auron about Killian: "The veil isn't wobbly OR wibbly, but HIS aura seems SUPER wobbly-icky!"
  • Back at the Steaming Cauldon Jeska puts 8 sugars in her tea, much to Junius’ horror
  • Maxfield rolls to see if the priests are sexy
  • Harold has his gay awakening on this day
  • Harold is in very high spirits after drinking his tea with rum, almost jumping around the town when they look for a disguise for the priests
  • The group is almost certain that Killian is a demon, and one day they’ll come back, Hemstetten turned into a demon village, and Killian will just be like “Hey guys!! :D”
  • When heading back to the general store to look for make-up and wigs for the priests Junius says: “Hey, do you have cosplay supplies? We’re headed to a convention in Vol Dorma.”
  • Mira: “Let’s get some oranges!” (Oranges are to prevent scurvy!!)
  • When the group is handed back their weapons at the main gate Maxfield exclaims “Hey, that is my axe that I had in my pants all day!” – to which the mercenary holding it reacts with disgust, dropping the weapon
  • “Where did that orange come from?!”
  • Mira is getting super paranoid, suspecting spies following them every where even after they left Hemstetten; a perception roll by Jeska suggests that either all the bushes around them are moving due to the wind OR because there’s spies hiding in them
  • Max, after accidentally telling Evander everything: "You guys are my impulse control!"
  • Maxfield, after the party wonders if there’s going to be another attack at night, this time by the mercenaries: “I rolled a 21 today, I think I can save us!”
  • When a fight in the early morning hours happens: Pee on your enemies!
  • Junius breaks the 4th wall when talking to Auron: “Well, I had a really shitty dice roll today.”
  • The focus Junius has used the most so far is Deception – he’s a compulsive liar!!
  • Killian having the word “kill” in his name: a coincidence? I THINK NOT!
  • *this action has consequences*
  • *Killian will remember this*
  • “Using mostly teaspoons” to dig a tunnel out of the town keeps being misread in the chat as “using mostly tampons”
