Changeling

Where changelings come from remains a mystery shrouded in folklore and base assumption. It is believed in some cultures across the continent that changelings are fae creatures that replace the real child, growing up in that child's place after it had been stolen away by the fair folk. Others claim changelings are the perfect creation of the Bedlamite, able to take on the form of any of Their creations. And some even say that they can be born to anyone anywhere, and are a sign of supernatural meddling in the child's birth, for better or worse.
Regardless of myth, communities of changelings can be found sparingly spread across the empires in isolated locations. These communities produce natural born changelings who have found their to making a place for themselves as average citizens. During the War, changelings were crucial to every nation as spies and assassins due to their natural ability to blend in, and so now changelings are reknowned for their espionage capabilities. However, this also means that an amount of distrust has been built up against changeling kind.
