The stalwart dwarves live beneath many of the mountains of Andali, with their highest concentration dwelling in the Red Mountains. They are known for their skilled metalurgy and craftsmanship, renowned for creating the finest tools of war and their skill in their use.
Mountain Dwarves
Dwelling in hollowed out peaks and cave tunnels, these dwarves are the most common to encounter. They make their grand homes in the Red Mountains, concentrating in the Hollow Mountain, the highest peak of the country that houses the capital Dur Bolduhr. Larger dwarven settlements are also in the Twin Peaks of the Rose Protectorate and the Barrier Mountains of Southern Fulminaria.
Hill Dwarves
Hill dwarves can be found mingling with human and elven settlements across the empires. They are known for their longhouse construction style, and work well in craft trades like carpentry, jeweling, and baking. They are also known to be stellar merchants.
Gray Dwarves
Commonly known as duergar, these dwarves are a curmudgeony, isolationist folk who make their tunnels deep, deep beneath the crust of the continent. Because of the depth at which they have grown accustom, they do not appear the same as their brethren, taking on a more ashen look the longer their lineage has strayed from the sun's light. It is said their secret cities are ruled by duergar with spidersilk white skin, hair, and eyes.
