Tiefling
The origin of the tiefling is storied and varied. Some tell of bloodlines blessed by the Devil, others tell that this blessing is instead a curse. Some believe it is little more than the phase of Faustus during one's birth that might create a tiefling, and even still others claim all tieflings are created by a deal made between the tiefling and the Devil; regardless of how old the tiefling may be, newborn or adult alike.
Regardless, tieflings are revered in some circles, and yet scorned in others. Like an infernal version of the aasimar, tieflings fill many clerical roles in the devious circles of religion in Andali. They are conduits for communication with not only the Devil, but the Rider and Bedlamite as well. Their connection to the hellish divinity is not disregarded and is even praised by some, as much as many might try to obfuscate it. Similarly, tieflings have a tenuous relationship with their infernal heritage. Where some may embrace their devilish nature, others spend their entire lives running from who they are.
