Triton

Stewards of the sea, triton make grand cities beneath the waves in the Southern Ocean. They work in tandem with the sea elves who inhabit the warmer shallows and cohorts of the two attend the Accords together as ambassadors of the sea, advocating for the populations of the oceans. From their position on the Shelf, built on the cusp of a great drop off to the deep, deep ocean, triton govern the depths and ensure no otherworldly horrors arise from the depths.
Outside of their deepsea settlements, triton become sailors and fishermen, bringing the bounty of the sea to the land. Many triton live in the sea elf settlements along the coast or even with the gnomes who enjoy the sandy beaches of the Southern Wilds; as generally amiable folk, triton tend to get along with whomever they are in contact with.
Similarly to their sea elven brethren, they too deny any knowledge of the hidden empire of Atlantis.
