These smallish birds are mostly covered in feathers excluding their legs, beak, wattles, and around the eyes.

After her eggs are laid, the hen will stay close to her nest so she can tend to her eggs. The eggs can come in a variety of colors based on the breed that lays them.

Highly social, flocks can be a variety of sizes, but most tend to average around 50 individuals.

Domestication

One of the most common and popular farm animals, many different breeds have been developed. The majority of Human dwellings not located directly in a city or town tends to have a personal flock of this bird, and due to their small size and easy to keep nature they have proven popular among other folk as well.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Chickens have proven useful for many reasons; they provide eggs and meat to eat, feathers and down for clothing and such, and rids gardens of annoying insect pests.

Comes in many colors, from white, brown, black, red, brown, and grey.
