Fungus Caves, General

The warm, damp caves are ideal places for mushrooms and other fungi to grow, and some stretches of cave filled with a large diversity of these.

Geography

Fungal Caves are typically found in warm, damp caves.

Fauna & Flora

Fungal Caves are home to a huge diversity of fungus, which can range from beneficial, to highly dangerous. Occasionally the fungus in these caves can grow to the point that they can reach the surface. Depending on the species, this can be either good or bad. These outbreaks can either bring sickness/death, or a bountiful harvest for the surface dwellers. Some fungus species are mobile and will either flee from threats or fling themselves at other creatures in an attempt to infect them with their spores. Most surface dwelling species can't live long in the fungus biomes for they get infected by spores. They must have special protections to survive.

I've wanted to make a fungal cave/world in my setting. It's interesting to see how you portray it. Consider me inspired.
