'Gem Rose'

Discovered in the heart of an 'Ancient One's' ruins, this artifact is as mysterious as it is beautiful. No one is quite sure of the significance of the metallic flower, but it is believed to have been important to the 'A.O.' due to how it was found. The 'Gem Rose' was discovered resting atop a highly decorated pedestal in a room all by itself.
Tests on the artifact has shown that it has magical properties, but what kind of properties is unknown, and more tests are needed. Some scholars theorize that there may be something hidden within the golden petals, but they are unsure how to access it without damaging the artifact. As a result they have decided not to pry to avoid damage.
After it's discovery it was moved to a special facility that was being used to store all kinds of 'A.O.' artifacts, where it stayed for many years. Recently the 'Gem Rose' was stolen by 'The Descendents' during an break in. It's current location is unknown.
Currently it is considered high priority to reacquire the artifact, for it is not known if it could be used as a key to activating some sort of powerful weapon. There have been several raids at places where it has been suspected of being kept, but while other 'A.O.' artifacts have been recovered, the 'Gem Rose' is still missing.

It is unknown how the 'Gem Rose' was created. Master Dwarves have some ideas, but there are arguments over these.

Raw materials & Components

The 'Gem Rose' has a long stem made of silver with thorns made of bronze embedded in it. Atop the stem is dozens of petals made of gold. Embedded within each outer petal is a gem, and each gem is unique.
