Biological Traits
Slimes can be a variety of sizes, though typically the smaller the slime, they younger or longer they have been without food, while the bigger the slime the older and more well fed one is.
Ecology and Habitats
Slimes are typically native to cave systems, if they leave the caves, they tend to dry out quickly.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Slimes will eat eat just about anything, from creatures to plant matter and decaying to still very much alive. They will leave a trail of slime wherever they go and can detect when prey steps on their trail. This trail will dry up after only a day. If they come across anything smaller than it, it will engulf it's prey to consume it.

Uses, Products & Exploitation
Slimes kept by Dwarves come in a variety of colors and are used for a variety of reasons.
Pink slimes are kept for their slime, which is used to hold wound closed and promote healing.
Grey slimes are kept for their slime, which is typically foraged in google lens.
Brown slimes are used to compost waste, tablescaps, and other plant/meat scraps.
Green slimes are farmed as livestock.
