Amos Stagmark
Amos is an older human, in his late sixties. He was once powerfully built but has gone slightly to seed. His once dark brown hair is graying quickly, and most of the hair has receded from his head, leaving only patches on the sides and back of his head. He has an unkempt stuble, and a massive walrus mustache underneath a bulbous nose. Amos needs glasses but instead squints at everything. Though he appears surly at first, people quickly find that he had a heart of gold.
Amos walks with a pronounced limp, and has a massive scar across his chest. Both are wounds he received in defense of the prince, when he used to be part of the Prince's Personal Guard. They were attacked while traveling back from a trek to Oakheart nine years ago by a small band of hill giants. Though nearly overwhelmed, Amos and his fellow knights managed to fend off the giants. Amos himself took up one of the fallen giants' greatclub and used it to defend himself and the young prince.
Upon their return, Amos was praised as a hero, and when the Queen asked what he might give to the man who had so bravely defended her son, Amos asked for the money and land to build himself an Inn and Tavern. The Queen happily granted this request.
Hung with pride above the bar is the giant-sized wooden greatclub used by Amos, and from which the Knight's Club get its name, The Knight's Club.
