Birth of Japhee

Darwin & Samue's unique relationship centered around their shared fascination with transformation and change. They challenged each other intellectually and philosophically. From their bond, eventually their son Japhee was born. In strong contrast to his parentage, Japhee embodied the spirit of chaos instead of order, luck instead of determination or wisdom, and pranks & tricks instead of guidance. However, he inherited Darwin's charisma and Samue's adaptability. Scholars believe he was born of them intentionally to counter their own consistencies and predictabilities. When Japhee was born, plants that had never flowered bloomed, strange new crops sprouted from previously inhospitable ground, and trees that had never bore fruit suddenly started bearing new varieties never before seen. Scholars believe his chaotic nature entering existence actually caused a disruption in the natural order, which manifested in these changes. In honor of Japhee and the blessing of new and exotic foods, the season of his birth was named the Ripening.
