History
An old and noble house, the Laniidae's hold a special place in modern history due to their intimate involvement in the final battle of the Great Dying and the slaying of Apocrita. Lord Tyrus, wielding his great lance (known as Thorn), fought alongside St. Panos of House Capritania at the Battle of Paper Hill as they attempted to put an end to Apocrita once and for all.Lord Tyrus returned to his son, Balthazaar, on the battlefield holding Apocrita's head aloft on his lance. He and St. Panos were greeted with cheers so loud it's said they were heard in the forests of the north. The body was disposed of by the Mashhad Altuyuri.
Lord Tyrus sat on the Pananimus Assembly, becoming the de facto leader of Ornithuria after Apocrita's slaying. After Panos was crowned king, House Lannidae was named Wardens of the Birds, Lord Tyrus becoming the Duke of Ornithuria.
