The Raven Queen

The Raven Queen is an unusual member of the pantheon, goddess of death and fate, and sometimes memories, she is often depicted ferrying the souls of the departed to their final resting place. Her true name has been lost to time and the mystery that surrounds her. She is one of the few fully accepted gods in the empire, and the most unusual of them all, in the empire she is seen as a benevolent deity that helps lost souls and commands her followers to destroy the undead.   The Raven Queen is shrouded in mystery, only some of her most devout followers start to peel back the secrets and truly understand this goddess.   While other deities often have clear commandments, the ideals of the raven queen are more up to interpretation, here are some common ones in the empire.
Commandments of the Raven Queen
  • The path of Fate is sacrosanct. It is your duty to find your destiny and follow it, those who pridefully attempt to cast off fate must be punished.
  • Death is the natural end. Mourn, but do not pity those who have fallen.
  • Undeath is an atrocity. Those who would pervert the transition of the soul must be brought down.

Followers

The followers of the Raven Queen are those who wish their souls to brought safely to the afterlife, protect them from undeath and those who believe in destiny. A connection with memories means that followers sometimes show their faith by offering up items with strong sentimental value to her.
