Roy Anathalakai

Roy Anathalakai (a.k.a. the Accuser)

Roy grew up in a mountain village near The Dragon Pillars north of Candor. In his younger days, Roy managed to defend the mountain village from a large herd of mountain trolls while the rest of the warrior Goliaths were in search of prey. This earned Roy a place in Chief Thundarr Anathalakai’s clan. Normally Roy was an exceptionally friendly goliath, but Thundarr would see to fixing that. Since Roy became involved very quickly in war and destruction, his life was changed rapidly. When Roy reached adulthood, he was roughly the size of Chief Thundarr, which the chief didn't like. Thundarr did everything he could to make life miserable for Roy, who eventually had to shelve the dream of becoming chief of the Goliath clan. On one fateful night, the goliath village was destroyed by a massive avalanche. Roy was made the culprit, though he swore never to have encouraged the rage of the mountain spirits. With the destruction of the mountain village, the surviving goliaths had to seek shelter elsewhere. Thundarr and Roy did not get along at the time, which was reflected in Thundarr sending Roy with the goliaths that were deemed weak and stupid down from the mountains and towards the big cities of civilization. The strong and clever goliaths would stay in the mountains and help build a new village. With Roy's upbringing, he could not adapt so well to living in communities other than what he was used to in the mountains. This was most apparent in the many problems and fights he often found himself in. Roy killed two guards and was thrown into Candor's largest prison, Stonekeep. In Stonekeep, he was nicknamed "The Decider" or "The Accuser" because he, along with the other more dominant prisoners, decided who got the chance to help them with escape attempts and those who did not get the opportunity. This would often result in the killing of the unworthy, to protect themselves from anyone wanting to let the guards know of Roy and the other’s escape plans. During fierce and cruel storm, Roy managed to escape from prison. Roy was presumed dead in the storm by the guards that saw him jump from the wall, and no warrants were extended to the realm, effectively making Roy escape the prison system entirely (and quite fortunately). However, Roy’s prison partner Artyr, a massive black minotaur, also got away. Roy had managed to steal Artyr's enormous Great-Axe Axecaliburr and uses just this one to fight his way back towards the mountains, where Roy would like to disprove Thundarr of his worth, by defeating him in a fight, or just killing him. Should Roy ever meet Artyr again, it is certain that only one will emerge from that meeting alive…

Massive, burly and never shy from showing his prowess in combat, Roy seeks to bring glory and honor to his name. Not only to acquire fame and wealth, but more importantly to earn the respect his clan never truly gave him.
