Anora
A world with an ancient history, the inhabitants of Anora have witnessed much since the dawn of creation, most of which has been lost to time. The history of Anora is filled with tales of legendary heroes, monsters, kings, queens, empires, conquerors and conflict. No one alive today knows what truly transpired in what is known as the Old Times. Only few texts and accounts remain to tell of the great kings, queens and nations of old.
Many rulers have tried to tame Anora's different regions, but it has never been an easy endeavor. Large parts of the world remain wild and dangerous, and though the proud cities of many different races have claimed large territories, they are not safe from conflicts and scheming. Even in central kingdoms such as Candor, the wilderness is not a kind place to those who wander alone. Magic is a rare talent, but those who wield such powers can be trained in cities across the world.
The gods watch Anora from above. Hesitant to meddle directly with mortal affairs, they prefer to offer subtle guidance and aid through worship.
It is a wondrous world of countless races, creatures and landscapes, some yet to be discovered.
The last two decades in Anora's history have known relative peace, even though relations between kingdoms can be strenuous at times. No grand wars have been waged in this time, and fewer lives than ever have been lost to goblins, orcs, brigands and other menaces. But nothing lasts forever... Times change, and fate has never let Anora lay idle for long.
