The Jinx

The Jinx is a strange curse that afflicts all Halflings at some point in their lives. No consensus exists as to what might trigger the Jinx, though close contact with a Halfling currently affected by the curse has long been suspected to spread it. Once the Jinx begins, the Halflings natural luck turns against them, manifesting as supernaturally bad luck. The Halfling must prove themselves worthy and capable individuals even without their luck, suffering the effects of the Jinx until they do.
