The sentient Tirer-bound hominid species known as Orcs are officially declared extinct following centuries of declining population.
Despite vast physical ability, the Orcs could not compete against more intelligent species. Orcish clans never were able to centralize as effectively as the other sentient species on Tirer, leading to a gradual overtaking of their home terrain until most Orc civilizations had been driven into extinction. It is believed the last Orc died around the year 553 BGE.
