Antigonia

August 6th, 102 PH

Created by

The All-Father, Cipactli as the Antigonians know him, is dead--slain by his son Tezcatlipoca. Now godless, a few worship pagan idols, but most Antigonians pay homage to the son. Under his guidance, the Antigonians forge an empire, destroying the Sylvan peoples and driving them into the Wilderlands. Evolving into a malignant force, the Antigonians rule the eastern coast of the Cerulean Sea unchallenged, forcing followers of the All-Father and the more peaceful Antigonians to flee southward.

The hubris of the Antigonians forces the gods to react with anger, who destroy ninety percent of humanity in a rain of fire and brimstone. Over the span of the next two millennia, the Antigonians grow in strength and persist in their worship of Tezcatlipoca, adhering to their belief that Cipactli is dead. Those faithful to the All-Father are enslaved. After generations of captivity, these children of God are freed from slavery and led back to the east coast at the hand of the All-Father. Forging a pact with the All-Father, these people are called the Kith-El and their new home is the Covenant Land. They forge a nation of faith and peace along the east coast.

For centuries this peace ensues, but aggressive forces from the west coast of the Cerulean Sea lay siege to the east coast. Led by King Erik Blackthorne, these forces ravage the east coast in a war lasting four years; a conflict known as the Hellscream War. The east coast survives to defeat the invaders and establishes a peaceful relationship with the west coast. Using west coast technology, the victors build better roads, fortify their cities, and bolster their coastal defenses.

But peace makes people complacent and the war is now a hundred-year-old memory. Most east coasters have forgotten the horrors of war and just as many have drifted away from the All-Father. The land is restless with banditry, humanoid raids, and tales of fell creatures destroying entire villages. Food is scarce, travel invites danger, and darkness spreads across the land.

From this darkness three truths shall emerge: the west coast has not forgotten its defeat, Antigonians recall the might of their east coast empire, and evil gods never sleep.
