Codex Collateral

This is a small leatherbound book with parchment pages. It is actually a pair of books, with Rakia possessing one and Vallian presumably has the other. What is written in one will appear in the other. The book Rakia has contains a message from Vallian dated 03-15-102 PH.

Rakia has used this multiple times to visit with Vallian. On 05-24-102 PH he opens it to pen another letter to the dwarf and finds a letter to the party from the Master of the West Bank. The party does not know who this is, but they realize Vallian was taken during the raid on Troll Fjord.

Purpose

This item allows long-distance communication between the two people that carry one of the books. Whatever is written in the one book will appear in the other.
