Indigo Naturalis
A flowering herb with small blue flowers. It has a slight mint and lilac smell. Used during fulling to dye wool various shades of blue.

Anatomy
Grows on a thin stalk with numerous leaves and clusters of blue flowers. The flowers are dried and used to make dye. The leaves and stalk make a potent tea to ward off infection and fever.
Growth Rate & Stages
This plant does best in slightly acidic and dry soil with partial sun. It is perennial, blooming in the spring and going dormant in the fall in temperate climes. In its natural habitat, it will bloom year round.
