The Coastal Trail
A mostly intact stone-paved road that runs from Garron's Overlook in the south to The Reach in the north.
Purpose / Function
Built after the Hellscream War, it was designed to move troops quickly along the coast in the event of war. It was a rebuilding and improvement of an existing series of trails and roads, known collectively as the Bone Road. Now it is in disrepair in places, but it does provide for reliable travel and commerce in areas where it is intact and patrolled.
Alterations
There is a Breakwater Bypass 150 miles long, just north of Fort Mothar to south of Wycliffe. From LM (league marker) 171 to LM 230 running north, this road is actually part of the old King's Road. The original Coastal Trail ran east towards the Breakwater. After the fall of the Breakwater, the road was rebuilt over more the more rugged terrain and followed the old King's Road to avoid going by the Breakwater.
