Dorim Forgemaker

Deep below the embers glow
the fires never waver
The hammer sings and anvil rings
of Lord Dorim our Forgemaker
Dorim Forgemaker is reveared by the dwarves of the realm, forgers, craftsmen, artificers, and inventors of all sorts. His realm is the Great Forge and his symbol is a hammer. He is known to be joyful, a lover of beer and spirits, but extremely serious when it comes to his craft. In myths he is one of Mekeiel's favourites to prank, and it was from his forge Mekeiel stole fire to give to mortals.

Worshippers

Most dwarves of Anvimar believe the Overking forged the world and sculpted dwarvenkind to tame it. They believe he has tasked them with the cultivation of the world. Some interpret this to be tending the veins of ore, others bringing art and architecture from the stone, while some more radical believers take this as direction to assert order wherever they can.   Those who dedicate themselves to Dorim Forgemaker in divine service often adorn themselves in patterns that echo the sparks of the forge.   Prayers and offerings are often made to the Forgemaker by craftsmen of all types when engaging on new projects, especially difficult ones, in hopes that his blessing will bring them extraordinary success.

Depictions

The primary depictions of the Forgemaker show him holding his hammer high ready to strike for or anvil or with his hammer before him, the head on the ground and his hands resting on the shaft.
