Sin-Ui Nunmul
Sin-Ui Nunmul is an archipelago in the South Anvimarian Ocean. With the smallest islands at the North, from above they resemble a series of teardrops. These tropical islands contain a diverse amount of flora and fauna in a very concentrated area. Densely packed bamboo gives way to towering jungles. The rich soil is the result of volcanic activity, still evident on the largest islands. The tall trees are the homes of aarakocra and kenku, who compete for territory. A large human occupation also lives on the island.
The humans call themselves Salamdeul. They have tan skin and dark hair and build their villages under the cover of the jungle, working with the natural surroundings.
The aarakocra tend to be brilliantly feathered like the many birds of the jungle. They try to avoid the humans, seeing the land dwellers as below them. The aarakocra view the kenku as pests and drive them away when they find them. On the middle island the Kenku have claimed a set of ruins apparently belonging to a lost civilization of lizardmen.
The jungle floor can be extremely dangerous. Large diaphanous plants look pretty and inviting until they wrap around unwary explorers. Kenku use their skills of mockery to lead travelers astray and trap them. And it is said beast long thought extinct hide deep within the secret places of the islands.
Geography
The archipelago is a series of five islands, slightly curving Westward and each bearing a vague teardrop shop. The two largest have active volcanoes, a single one named Little Brother on the second-largest and a range of three known as Grandmother, Mother, and Big Sister on the largest island.
