Andalusian - Minotaur

# Minotaur
  # Minotaur Race Details
The minotaurs of Antigua are strong in body, dedication, and courage. They are the chosen of Erathis and their destiny is to manifest civilization and tame the wilds were they go.
In battle and politics, they combine burning dedication with ruthless tactics that make them excellent decision makers and shock troops.
**Horns and Hooves** Minotaurs are barrel-chested humanoids with heads resembling those of bulls. Their horns range in size from about 1 foot long to great, curling weapons easily three times that length. They often ornament their horns with metal rings or sheathe them in metal to protect them from damage.

Manes of shaggy fur extend down minotaurs’ necks and powerful backs, and males have long tufts of hair on their chins and cheeks. Their legs end in heavy, cloven hooves. Minotaurs are born with long, tufted tails but most have their tails docked as part of a coming-of-age ceremony; they find the heavy armor of the Andalusian legion much more comfortable without a long tail in the way.
Traditionalist at heart, the nobility and leadership of Andalusian minotaurs use classical attires of robes and copper armor in public; rarely succumbing to more modern fashions that the new naval era has spurred.
**Strength and Zeal** Minotaurs are zealous and love battle. Commonly they see themselves as a chosen peoples, taken from Hell to manifest the will of their Goddess on earth. They see everything in a sense of Conqueror and Conquered, and believe that those that fail due so because they fail to prepare for war.
Minotaurs tend to vent their outrage through violence, but they aren’t generally quick to anger. They are passionate, loving their friends and partners fiercely, and they laugh loud and long at good jokes.
**Family and Guild** Minotaur legends call for a group of families of 16 tribes that were rescued from Hell. All minotaur nobility claims to be able to trace their ancestors to the original tribe and often loyalty to one's family comes above everything else to them.
Even those outside of the noble families group in Guilds of explorers, conquerors, builders and priests of Erathis. Communal to the end, a minotaur that is not born within a group often finds his purpose by the time they mature and rarely due they leave such Guild after they have committed to it.
**Leaders of the Old World** Minotaurs are sinonymous with the Andalusian Empire, and seen the most powerful nation of the current era. The language of the Minotaurs is seen as official language of international diplomacy, while Common is the language of the *conquered* masses, spread by the loose tribes of humans and half-elves before the arrival of the chosen peoples.
**Minotaur Names** The legends that recount the deeds of ancient minotaur heroes are full of other names as well: those of the retainers, allies, lovers, servants, enemies, and others who played roles, however small, in the lives of the heroes.
