Tiscus Breather (res-pi-rata tis-c)

Tiscus breathers are a deep dwelling plant that grow all across Aolara. Those in search of one may come across them growing in shallow water pools at the bottom of cave systems, or along the banks of rivers deep in the wildest sections of a rainforest. However, those who are in dire need of finding large quantities will have to venture somewhere a little riskier. Tiscus breathers are most commonly found along the walls of waterlogged caverns far down in the depths of the Underdark. To visit and return from such a place is rare. Thankfully, tiscus breathers are easy to spot. They grow in clusters of three or four, and have a unique eggplant shape with a cream spotted body and a leafy open top. A set of beautiful blue pods sprout from each one. When in complete darkness these pods give off a natural glow much like fireflies, or some types of mushroom.

Alchemists have deduced that the tiscus breather has special water breathing properties. Not only does it allow the plant to survive for extended periods of time underwater, but also allows the consumer of a properly prepared tiscus breather to breathe underwater as though it was air for roughly an hour.
