Heartseeker's War

Considered a global catastrophe, this is the war that was fought between Rebeorynn and the Iron Empire that gave rise to the cataclysm. Fought across the entire continent, it culminated in what would eventually scar the world and bring the golden age to an end. Fought as a result of the assassination of the High Queen and her children of Rebeorynn, General Duvald Heartseeker led the kingdom against the Iron Empire with the driven purpose to eradicate them utterly. The war lasted twelve, bloody years with hundreds of thousands of lives lost until it eventually culminated in the cataclysm.
Rumor has it that the High Queen's children were not even the king's, as he was old and geriatric at the time of their birth, but Duvald's.
