Lynburr

Longboat Capital of Hempton, the Crossroads of Hempton

Referred to colloquially as the Longboat Capital of Hempton and the Crossroads of Hempton, Lynburr is a walled plains town surrounded by rich agricultural land. The settlement began in a standard market town in configuration, but the last century-and-a-half its walls have been extended to include extra green space and longboat building shops. Lynburr was the home of Bertrand deLayborne, a tenth century alchemist who built a golem, invested in the city, and developed it with gold he transmogrified from lead.
Lynburr sits in the Palatine Duchy of Hempton, in the County of Suthchester. It is connected by secondary roads and a canal to Djailford Town to the east; Suthchester City by secondary road to the south by southwest; Feldkirk Town to the southwest; Holdwall by secondary road and canal to the northwest; Rumwall to the north; and Aldford to the north by northeast. This town hosts competitive Morris dancing events, and its crest is a sheaf of barley on field, sable. The town’s fairgrounds are well-kept and expansive, and it hosts many local, licensed markets.
