Commandant Albrecht Lang

In public, Albrecht Lang is the Dean of Illusory Magic at the Revenark University of the Arcane - as well as an occasional guest lecturer. However, this is merely a cover - as in truth, he is the Commandant of The Displacers, the secret arm of the government responsible for upholding laws against errant and illegal magic. Though he is not the formal leader of the organization, he is responsible for its day-to-day operations and is the point of contact for the rest of leadership.
Albrecht is known for his stern, hard-nosed demeanor. He does not suffer fools and can single-handedly derail a Displacer Agent's career if he does not approve of their performance. A stickler for formality and efficiency, Albrecht spends every waking hour working, hoping to provide an example to those of lower rank.
As a devout Veldian Imperialist, Albrecht is a true believer in his nation's approach to magical control. He is deeply skeptical of sorcerers, warlocks, clerics and other unlicensed practitioners of the arcane. He is an extremely talented wizard who was recruited to The Displacers at a young age and became famous in the organization after infiltrating a group of necromancers in Entleveit and bringing them down from the inside. It is believed he fought off a horde of undead beasts to escape.
Albrecht cuts an enormous, intimidating figure. He is taller and more muscular than many of the orcs in his charge and carries himself with authoritative precision. He keeps his hair and beard perfectly shaped at all times and is rarely seen out of uniform, even in his own home.
