Mayor of Nansuelo
Mayor Braga is the most powerful person in Nansuelo, but that power stops at the wall around the city. Elected twelve years ago as the mayor of the city, he is a beloved figure amongst the citizenry, as his policies of fairness and equality have helped to lift most of the population out of poverty. He is one of Rodrigo’s closest friends and advisors and there has been talk about rolling out his reforms across all of Aracia. His work forming the government of Nansuelo is considered to be the foundation for the incoming National Parliament during the democratic transition. Many consider him to be the frontrunner for any future national elections.
This success has been met with abject horror by the high merchants and nobles who have lived for centuries in the Peak District. They believe that Braga will syphon off their wealth, which has made him many enemies. Luckily, his proximity to Rodrigo has kept him safe, but those who aren't strategizing to beat him in the upcoming election are prepared to go even further to take him out.
