The act of gathering quintessence and altering its form before storing it in objects. Although most imbuers fit spells into artifacts and equipment they have fashioned themselves, they can also place spells and traps in almost any inanimate object. Some have been known to imbue quintessence into living things, this is taboo and anyone who manipulates the essence of a living thing are usually exiled. This is due to the deterioration of receptacles as they use up the stored spells.

Manifestation

When imbuing, the castor gathers quintessence in their body and generally focus it into their hands. As they shape an object and give it form they pour the aether they've gathered into the receptacle. Imbuing without layering will enhance the general properties of the receptacle such as durability, balance, and strength. When layered with another pillar, imbuing can give the receptacle properties it did not have before. One can put a number of spells and properties into mundane objects, a simple sword can now burst into flames at the snap of a finger.
