Raccumis' Secret

Sometimes, even god's don't want to be seen or heard. Raccumis spent a lot of time without a presence. He used it for a number of deeds, good and evil and everything in between. His disciples are granted the boon of a reduced presence if they pray to him.

One of the only forbidden channeled spells due to the taboo of associated ones self with the treacherous god, Raccumis. This ritual is only cast by people who deal in the underground and shadows. Primarily used by the Faceless of Ixbaezia to complete their assignments. The Faceless use this taboo ritual in order to gather intel, perform assassinations, steal, etc. Rarely is it used for a good deed.

Effect

Makes the channeler invisible to others. Stronger channelers can use it to also muffle themselves, silencing their foot steps and erasing their presence almost completely.

Side/Secondary Effects

Casting this spell too many times can cause the channeler to lose their sense of self and eventually their minds as well. The spell has to be manually removed. Staying invisible too long will cause nausea, migraines, and loss of consciousness.

Material Components

This ritual requires:

• animal pelts large enough to cover the body.
• various flowers that bloom at night such as moon flowers
• dust
• athame or other ceremonial blade

Gestures & Ritual

1. Dry the flowers by hanging, pressing, or carefully heating
2. Crush the flowers with a mortar and pestle into a fine powder
3. Mix the flower powder with the dust
4. Recite your prayer as you dust the blade with the mixture
5. Continuing reciting or repeating your prayer as you draw the rune for hidden with the blade over the animal pelt in 3 locations. Try and mark the space where the pelt will rest on the head, and then one by each foot.
6. Don the pelt and finish up the prayer or repeat it one last time.

Applied Restriction

Raccumis' Secret is a unique channeled spell and if it is cast in a neutral or Raccumis' domain, it does not lose its effect when the castor travels into another deity's domain. If cast in another deity's domain, the spell will be unstable. This instability can cause side effects to manifest sooner. It can also cause the castor's image and presence to flicker in and out of invisibility making them vulnerable at unexpected times.
