Air Elemental

Written by Pookas Kreations

Air elementals are also known as Slyphs. They are the embodiment of wind and living air. They are invisible unless they want to show themselves to others. They are amorphous and appear as an ever-shifting cloud. The more powerful of these elementals can shift between a humanoid form, a whirlwind, and a cloud. Their appearance is up to individuals, even allowing flying animals, lightning, smoke or fog. Most can't talk any humanoid tongue, only Auran.

Some consider them to be Fae, but they are even older than this ancient species. The Fae actually call them the Old Ones, they are more ancient than the Primordial Titan and some believe that this race is descendants of the Elementals.

Their original home is the Plane of Air, although they can be found in almost any Plane, even the Prime Material Plane. They are the commoners of these planes and if they, on Prime they are often found in regions that are high or windy and can range in size from minute to gargantuan. They are primitive and territorial beings, some are quick to anger, fast, with flighty personalities.

Most air elementals are of neutral alignments, but there are exceptions. They rarely care about others, not even those of their Plane, especially those of corporeal form.
