Innkeeper Courli Meadow Brightstone (a.k.a. Silvermane, Cor)

Courli is a Pixie, she is cute and feisty. Likes excitement, playing pranks, and has sticky fingers. She loves shiny things and they always seem to end up in her pockets (she's a cleptomaniac).

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Courli is tall for a Pixie, she is built like a gymnast, with a willowy form.

Facial Features

She has a long, narrow face, almond-shaped yellow eyes, a pert button nose, pointed chin, angled cheeks, long pointed ears, and short spiky hair.

Identifying Characteristics

Rainbow colored, translucent butterfly wings.

Special abilities

Greater Invisibility (Su) able to remain invisible even when attacking and use this to great advantage when fighting or playing tricks on intruders. This ability is constant, but can be turned off at will.

Polymorph (Su) at will, 1/day: allows the pixie to transform her body into another creature. The animal could be anything from a bug to a hippopotamus, her mind stayed unchanged, movement and respiration are included, but no special abilities like poison when transformed. For the duration of the spell, the shape can be changed multiple times, each change requires 1 round. Once transformed back to her original body, some would are healed (1d12 hp). Duration 2 turns/level.   Spell-like Abilities (Sp) 
  • Constant: detect chaos, detect good, detect evil, detect law
  • 1/day: lesser confusion (DC 14), dancing lights, detect thoughts (DC 15), dispel magic, entangle (DC 14), permanent image (DC 19; visual and auditory elements only), shield. Caster level 8th. The save DCs are Charisma-based.

Special Arrows (Su) when a Pixie uses a bow to fire an arrow, it can decide to change the arrow’s properties by sprinkling it with pixie dust. This is a free action as long as the same pixie fires the arrow. They can generate a number of uses of dust equal to its Charisma score each day (16/day for most pixies--this dust is useless to another creature unless she gifts it to them. When it is gifted, she chooses what the effect will be. These arrows do no damage only casting the effects added. Save DCs are Charisma-based.

  • Memory Loss: An opponent struck by this arrow must succeed on a DC 15 Will save or lose all memory. The save DC is Charisma-based and includes a +2 racial bonus. The subject retains skills, languages, and class abilities but forgets everything else until he or she receives a heal spell or memory restoration with limited wish, wish, or miracle.
  • Sleep: Any opponent struck by this arrow, regardless of Hit Dice, must succeed on a DC 15 Fortitude save or be affected as though by a sleep spell. The save DC is Charisma-based and includes a +2 racial bonus.
  • Charm: The target must succeed on a DC 15 Will save or be affected as though by a charm monster spell for 10 minutes.
  • Irresistible Dance: The target feels an irresistible urge to dance. he can do anything else, but dance. The effect imposes a -4 penalty to AC and a -10 penalty on Reflex saves, and it negates any AC bonus granted by a shield the target holds. Dancing provokes attacks of opportunity each round they are dancing. a successful will save (DC 15) reduces the duration by one round.

  Lowlight Vision (Ex) Pixies can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light.   Flight Pixies have long delicate multicolored wings that grant them the ability to fly. Their wings give them a flight speed of 30 ft and maneuverability of clumsy (-8 modifier, +2 for size, +2 Acrobatics.)

Specialized Equipment

Steel dragon scale breastplate and shield, pixie sword of luck, darts of branding, bow, and arrows, possum pouch (of holding), a bag of tricks (animal types 1-5 animals), a ring of protection +2,  cloak of eyes (track as a 12th lvl ranger, see invisible, see camouflage, see in all directions, know alignment, detect magic), a compass of searching (points to what I'm looking for). These are all magical in one way or another.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Courli never seems to fit in wherever she goes. She didn’t last long in school, because she was too rambunctious to sit still. Only staying long enough to learn the basics, then she ran off to adventure. She trained as a fighter first, but couldn't stand the rules in the military so left there too.  

Courli travels around, hiring out as a fighter, guard, or something similar. Items always seemed to disappear around her, so she often needed to make herself scarce quickly when found out. Never having trained as a thief, but she seems to have some natural abilities of one.

  She's been an Outlander most of her life, never staying one place for long. In her adventures, she's helped fight dragons, steal treasures, rescue those in need, fighting the undead. Some of her adventures include:
  • Helping people escape from a city being destroyed by a natural disaster.
  • Discovered the mystery of the moving island, a colossal dragon turtle, Hyna Yilane.
  • Defeated an undead general spreading plague under the city.
  • Explored an abandoned school of magic and defeated the illusions within.
  • Defended an airship carrying dangerous cargo from sky pirates and killed a dragon in the process. I made armor out of its smallest scales.
  • Stopped a band of lizardfolk from animating a mountain.
  • Stopped the invasion of a drow army from the Underdark.
  • ----and many others.

Education

She only stayed in school a few years, trained in the army for the same. Only staying long enough to learn the basics from both. Some things, she excelled at, but others like science, history, or discipline bored her.

Employment

Fighter, guard, scout, thief, spy, etc. For a little while, she even worked as a spy, but she always got too bored so started stealing items or playing tricks on those she was supposed to spy one.

Her mother died while giving birth to her.

She is very intelligent, but bores easily.

Rules are meant to be broken. Never admit to wrongdoing, especially when caught. Possession is everything.
