Properties

Material Characteristics

This silk comes in many forms. It is as strong as steel, can be stiff or flexible, but not brittle. Is resistant to the elements and magic, DR 10/--.

Origin & Source

The Goddess Arachne created the first fae silk and she taught her children/creations the skill to make it.

History & Usage

History

The Goddess Arachne first created this material. When she first ascended, she worked on creating the fae silk. It was her crowning achievement, but wasn't able to imbuie it with magic from the Twilight Web until she took over the other deities portfolio.

Manufacturing & Products

Once woven the strands meld together to become a coherent whole. The strands are only sticky as they come out of the spinneret, then the air hardens it unless it's going

to be made into a net to catch prey.

The silk can be made opaque or transparent at need, this doesn't affect the strength of the material. Any type of object can be made. Whether it a 3D object or flat. It can be an open-weave or a solid object. Strong nets or armor are often made.

The Arafa Duzek can dissolve their own web with a solvent they produce. This web is not sticky to them. It is soured from the Twilight web plane, each Arafa's spinneret has their own link there.
