Jasyn ran away from home when he was 12 years old. He left because he didn’t feel safe in his home town. His father and younger sister were killed 2 years prior, he suffered bullying and beatings from older boys constantly, and others fared no better.

So he decided to leave, he collected supplies and books on skills he though he would need, even a dog for protection and companionship. The rest of his family wouldn’t leave thinking all would be fine.

It has now been 10 years, he learned to survive and even thrive in the secluded wooded area he found. Learning to hunt from men in the area about animals and foraging. He occasionally did odd jobs for people living out of town or on the outskirts.

Recently he’s noticed people that can only be termed as refugees leaving town, just walking an stumbling in a daze. They have many wounds, bruises and tattered clothing.

When no one was around, he put up some signs about water sources, shelters, and the direction/distance to the next town. This seemed to boost the spirits of some of these people. At least he could help a few. He decided to ask a few about his family, but no one seemed to know them
