Over the years of defending the temple and those in need nearby. She is almost unbeatable after all her battles. As long as she stays near the temple and is in Aquara's favor, she has been unbeatable in all of Aquatica's history.
During the Chaos Wars, she even helped in the war effort against the Atlanteans and sank many of their seagoing ships when they came near the temple. 
Thalassara is now a mythic creature, more powerful than ever, many of her brood have left and claimed lairs of their own, some have even built temples of their own mostly to Aquara.
