Travelers' Tower

Written by Pookas Kreations

A group of Travelers (nomadic Halflings) found an abandoned tower along the Western coast of Atlantia, it is 160 ft tall. What they don't know is that it is attached to Urtho's home compound. The building is mostly only a shell, luckily it still had a roof.

Purpose / Function

Originally this was a guard tower for Urtho's coastal compound, later it was abandoned when Urtho went into hiding. It has been abandoned for over 100 years before the Travelers discovered it.

Alterations

They took this as a boon, as the winter weather is very harsh this year. They decided to make this their winter home. So they gathered many natural materials such as wood, vines, leather, and fibers. This they turned into platforms, gantries, bridges, ladders, nets, etc. The only thing that they changed to the main structure was to add a few windows and doors. They created many levels in this tall tower. Many families were able to fit inside, the majority of the Greenleaf clan. Greenleaf's are very clever builders, especially with natural resources like plants. Any medium-size creature stepping inside wouldn't even be able to stand up. To others, it would appear to be similar to a spider colony.

Architecture

This tower is mostly built of a combination of basalt and granite but also has Lightstone and quartzite mixed in. The Lightstone makes the tower lighter and the quartzite makes it shine in the sun and glow in the moon.

History

Urtho originally had a compound build to ensure his privacy, but as the war became inevitable, he added towers for protection.
Because of their life living on the backs of Olipeds, they know how to climb and keep their balance constantly. Also, like sailors on a ship, they are skilled at climbing ladders and rigging.
