Wenci
Wenci closely resembles a weasel but with six legs. They are very intelligent but don't have the vocal cords to speak in most languages. Their own language uses body language, clicks, grunts, and sibilant sounds; much of this language is too high pitched for humanoids to hear.

Social Structure
Wenci commonly live in colonies like meerkats, but young males that haven't joined a colony or are kicked out of a crowded one live on their own until they find a new colony or create their own.
This group is often called a "mob", "gang", or "clan". It can often contain about 20 wenci, but some super-families have 50 plus members. Wenci often hunts in packs, like wolves and have been observed to have Alpha, Beta and Omega individuals.

At first glance, they are animals. As you look closer, they are a primitive society with stone-age technology. Although, some Wenci have been "borrowing" high technology items that they have seen in the city and have been teaching themselves and others how to use them.

Culture and Cultural Heritage
They are a tribal-like society. Some are nomadic, moving when all nearby prey animals have been exhausted, but most have learned to ration and rotate the areas that they hunt in to keep their prey levels steady. A few colonies have even learned to supplement their food buy foraging for plants.
Wenci have been watching humanoids for generations and have begun to mimic some aspects of their societies, adopting what they like.
History
No one knows the true history of the Wenci, but it is assumed that the Atlanteans bred them for their hunting skills. Wenci are often seen around large cities and agricultural areas because of rodent infestations and whenever a new area pops up they aren't far behind.
Their coats are usually in shades of light or dark brown, red, gray or black; with a lighter colored chin, chest and stomach. Some have a lighter colored tip on their tails and fur even on their footpads.
