Corrick Nugg

Corrick Nugg (a.k.a. 'The Mad')

Corrick Nugg is was the last known member of Captain Thorne's first crew.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Ancient, even for a gnome. Skin burnt dark and leathery by the sun. Teeth rotten and hair patchy. He moves constantly, as if evading invisible enemies. He smells strongly of alcohol.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Corrick Nugg joined the crew of Captain Thorne as a young gnome. He was an adequate cabin boy, but favoured a drink.
Shortly before Thorne discovered his Moving Island, Corrick was caught stealing rum and castaway upon a rock for his crime. It was from here, though, that he could in the distance observe the discovery of the island. 
The Morkoth of the island found him, and employed him as a fishing lure. For centuries, Nugg would make himself look like a castaway to oncoming ships, promise them the riches of Thorne and feed them to the Morkoth.
Nugg was picked up by the Umberlee's Howl shortly before it was boarded by the Thanes of Order. Again, he promised to lead them to the island, teasing with extra verses of The Ballad of Captain Thorne.
Once in the lair of the Morkoth, Nugg revealed his true self and was finally slain by the Thanes.

Mental Trauma

He is mostly mad (which is why he is in a cage), but seems to be most lucid when he is fed between 2 and 5 glasses of rum (increasing con save for lucidity). This may have been an act, or insanity driven upon him by his transformation into a Deep Scion
