Duchess Olendra dell’Orso

Grey haired and severe matriarch of House Orso. Wears a black dress adorned with pearls with a high-necked ruffled white collar. Resides over the duchy of Bosco to the north, which are some of the few to still be largely forested. As such, she must deal with both local and an increasing number of displaced Leith’Quessir (the travelling wood elf peoples), as well as the constant raids and skirmishes of the more militant N’di’thang.
Olendra has two aging sons, both Counts, who accompany her and eagerly await the time their inheritance. Her eldest son is known to have died, but what is not publicly knowledge is that he died protecting his elven wife after the Duchess discovered their secret union and sent loyal knights to slay her. After both lay dead, the knights discovered that the couple had produced a Half-Elf baby, who they took back to the Duchess. Enraged at the loss of her eldest son and horrified that this creature was now officially her heir, Olendra had the child locked away and the knights executed for their part in her son’s death. This ordeal cemented her hatred of wood elves as she blames them for the loss of her son.
